DUTCH EXPERT (INGRIN) TO CPPRI
Mr. Robert E. van Weldam, Director/Founder, Foundation of International
Graphic Training Cooperation(INGRIN), The Netherlands visited CPPRI on 16th
April, 2003 to discuss about the project activities relating to "Infrastructure
For Applied Research & Development And Training In the Area Of Printing
Technology". INGRIN is one of the leading Consultants in the area of
printing technology and with their help, CPPRI proposes to set up a "Training
Centre" on printing to create the required Human Resource
Development(HRD) in the area of printing technology. During the above
meeting between Director, CPPRI and Mr. Weldam discussions were held on
various aspects relating to the project proposal including pre-operational &
post operational activities of the project and draft "Memorandum Of
Agreement(MOA)" to be entered into between CPPRI, INGRIN & AIFMPA
for submission DOIPP, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India
for necessary approval of this project. This activity of printing research
will be the synergy between printing industry & paper industry.
Mill Visits
Scientists of the Institute visited following mills during the
quarter :
¤ M/s Varinder Agro Chemicals ltd, Barnala for on the spot study on "
Reduction of Non process Elwements."
¤ M/s ITC Bhadrachalam & Bilt - APR , Kamlapuram under COINDS
project.
¤ M/s Mohit Paper Mills Ltd , Bijnor under Cess funded Detoxification
Project .
¤ M/s Ajanta Paper Mills for process evaluation and troubleshooting.
¤ Forest research institute , Dehradun for conducting trials on board
manufacturing from recovered lignin.
¤ IIT, Roorkee regarding analysis o0f metals under sponsored projects.
¤ M/s. Rolex Paper Mills Ltd., Bhimavaram, (A. P.) for Newsprint sample
collection.
¤ M/s. BILT's unit Balharshah, (M.S) for on site training programme.
¤ Ø M/s. HPC's unit Cachar (Assam) for on site training
programme.
