Eminent external faculty from Paper Industry, Equipment Supplier and
Academic Institutions shared their wide experience with the participants of
the Training Program. The Training Program was formally inaugurated by Sh.
K. Skandan, I.A.S, C.M.D, T.N.P.L., while Sh. Kasi Viswanathan, President
(Operations), Seshasayee Paper & Boards Ltd, Erode (TN), delivered the "Key
Note Address". Based on the successful completion of three Cess
Training Programs under the activities of Cess Project entitled "Continuing
Education for Technical Personnel of Pulp & Paper Industry", the
institute has been entrusted the task of conducting four more training
programs which will cover the areas like Maintenance, Testing Methods,
Calibration, Wet End Chemistry etc.

Certification Examination for Energy Auditors" organized by
National Productivity Council, Chennai during August 18-22, 2003. |
¤ Mill personnel from M/s HPCL, Cachar unit were imparted training in
Refining, Neutral Sizing and Paper evaluation.
¤ Dr. Y. V. Sood and Sanjay Tyagi were invited as Expert faculty for
imparting training in 'Coating & Surface Sizing' to mill personnel at
Department of Paper Technology, IIT- Roorkee.
