» Separation of Lignin from Black Liquor to
Enhance Rate of Biomethanation.
Objective
Lignin
acts as a bio-inhibitory substance during the anaerobic treatment of
effluents laden with black liquor. Separation of lignin from the black
liquor will enhance the rate of bio-methanation.
Activities
With
the successful commissioning of the LRP (Lignin Removal Process) pilot plant
at M/s Satia Paper Mills, the studies were completed fulfilling the project
activities. A detailed report was submitted to MNES, which was duly approved
by sponsoring agency.
