Thermal Treatment Plant Institute has developed a process for thermal treatment of black liquor to reduce viscosity and improve combustion properties enabling to fire the black liquor at high dry solids. This utility improves the energy efficiency of the chemical recovery system. Based on this process, a pilot plant has been set up at CPPRI to test mills black liquor and to crystallise data for commercial scale application. The process can be retrofitted in the existing chemical recovery system and could be an integral part of new chemical recovery installation. |

"DARS " Pilot Plant A "DARS " Pilot Plant is available for batch scale trials and complete facilities for Black Liquor evaporation are available. The Institute can take up complete laboratory evaluation of spent liquors for suitability for DARS chemical recovery system including process optimization, and operating conditions. Material Balance and physico-chemical analysis of the products. |
