Dr. T.K. Roy, takes over the Charge of Director (Officiating)
, CPPRI Since Dr. A.G. Kulkarni, Director is on long leave. Council of Association of Central Pulp & Paper Research Institute has appointed Dr. T.K. Roy, Scientist-F and senior most officer of the Institute as Officiating Director of the Institute w.e.f. 15.11.2006.
Council of Association (CoA) Meeting
The 36th Meeting of the Council of Association of CPPRI was held on 8th Sep. 2006 at Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi. The above meeting was chaired by Dr. Ajay Dua, lAS, Secretary (DoIPP), MoC & I, Govt. of India, & President, Council of Association of CPPRL The meeting was attended by other senior officers Shri N.N.Prasad, Joint Secy. DoIPP, Mrs. Uma Goel, Director LEWing DoIPP, Shri S.P. Morya, Director DolPP and Captains of the Indian Paper Industry including Shri Rajeev Vaderah, President, IPMA and JMD, BILT, Shri Pradeep Dhoble, Chief Executive, ITC Bhadrachalaam, Shri Jaideep Chitlangia, President IRPMA, Shri C.S.Panigrahi, Chief Executive, Voith Paper Tech. India Ltd., Shri R.C.Rastogi, President, Indian Recycled Paper Mills Association (IRPMA) .
Participation in Indian Paper 2006
Director CPPRI, Senior & Junior Scientists attended the International Conference and exhibition on "Greater Utilization of Recycled Fibres - Prospects & Problems" held at Vapi, Gujarat, during 10-13 November, 2006 under the International Trade Fair Indian Paper 2006 and presented six papers in the area of recycled fibre
Celebration of Republic Day
The Republic day was celebrated by the Institute on 26th January, 2007. Dr. 1. K. Roy, Officiating Director, CPPRI hoisted the National Flag and addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of Republic Day and called upon the staff to improve efficiency for betterment of the Institute and country as well. On this occasion a volleyball match was arranged by the staff of the Institutes, to the trophies and mementos were distributed to the players ..
