Significant Achivements

Successfully developed Technology for removal of Silica from black Liquor.
The technology has been patented in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey &
Hungary.
¤ Direct Alkali Recovery system (DARS), a process for
recovery of chemicals suitable for small pulp & paper mills has been
developed and widely tested on different raw materials. The process has been
patented in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka & Bangladesh.

Successfully developed a technology for Black liquor thermal treatment for
firing black liquor at high solids. The process has been patented in India
and the technology is being marketed by an engineering company.

High Rate Biomethanation of pulp & paper mill effluent. CPPRI
successfully developed the High Rate Biomethanation Technology for pulp mill
effluent containing black liquor as major component.
