» Benchmarking &
Fixation of Guidelines for Consumption of Basic Inputs
Fiber,
energy, Water & Chemicals are the important input in manufacturing of
pulp and paper, both from quality aspect and from the cost of production
point of view, it is very important to have some guidelines for basic inputs
consumption so that cost of production is maintained at minimum level
without scarifying the quality of production. In Indian mills there is wide
variation in consumption of these basic inputs and these results in a large
variation in cost of production.
CPPRI has expertise in pulping and
paper making process and can guide the mills to formulate their basic input
consumption policy. The guidelines provide mills to benchmark their
consumption level of inputs and thus arrive at the most optimum production
targets.
CPPRI has conducted these studies for the whole pulp and
paper sector; services can be offered to individual mills for benchmarking
their input consumption levels.
